State Patrol: Hit-and-run crash causes vehicle to go down state Route 16 embankment in Gig Harbor area

A hit-and-run crash Sunday on state Route 16 in the Gig Harbor area caused one vehicle to leave the road down an embankment, the State Patrol said.

The wreck happened about 4:30 p.m. at eastbound state Route 16 and Burnham Drive Northwest.

One vehicle hit another, causing it to go down an embankment, then left the scene, trooper Guy Gill said.

The causing driver was found at a nearby home, and no one was seriously injured, Gill said.
