The pursuit of a man allegedly wielding a gun Saturday led to the closure of a main highway and a standoff before police took the suspect into custody.
A stretch of state Route 167 was shut down as police pursued a man suspected of aiming a gun at people in Kent and Auburn, officials said.
Police received multiple reports in Kent and Auburn about a man in a white Honda pointing a gun.
They chased the vehicle and its 31-year-old driver to the Route 167 northbound on-ramp, where they used a maneuver to roll his vehicle into a ditch.

Multiple shots were fired, but no officers were hit. The suspect appeared to have wounds to his arm and minor injuries from the crash, and was taken to the hospital, according to a Kent police statement.
R 167 was closed in both directions for police activity.
