Motorcycle stunt crash at Puyallup fairgrounds injures 2

Crews took two stunt motorcyclists to the hospital Saturday after three of the bikes crashed while riding in a cage at the Puyallup fairgrounds, Central Pierce Fire & Rescue said.

The agency responded to the crash about 5:20 p.m., and took the pair of injured motorcyclists to area hospitals, one to Good Samaritan and one to Tacoma General, Central Pierce spokesman Ed Hrivnak said. The third rider in the cage was not injured.

Hrivnak said the wounds were not life-threatening.

The Jordan World Circus, the group performing, posted the following message on its facebook page Sunday:

“Thank you very much to all our friends and fans, that have been asking for the health of the ‘Globe of Death Riders’ after the accident in the 4:30 p.m. show on Saturday, April 4. Let me tell you that they are OK! One of the riders has a broken leg, and another a broken rib. ‘The Jordan Family’ Thanks everyone for your comments!”
