One person died and two others were seriously injured Monday in a Kent-area crash, King County sheriff’s spokesman B.J. Myers said.
Officials didn’t release the name of the woman who died. The two injured appeared to be in the same vehicle, and while their wounds were serious, they were not life-threatening, Myers said.
A fourth person was the only occupant of the other vehicle, and was not injured.
Emergency crews responded to the head-on wreck shortly before 8 p.m. in the 20200 block of 148th Avenue Southeast.
Myers said investigators think distracted driving on the part of the uninjured driver may have caused the crash, and have no reason to think drugs or alcohol were involved. He said they were interviewing the driver.
Crews expected the road to be closed for several hours as investigators worked.
Further details were not immediately available.
