Police arrested a man Tuesday night suspected of a drive-by shooting last week in Tacoma.
Officers booked the suspect into jail about 8:30 p.m. on suspicion of drive-by shooting and five counts of first-degree assault.
Police spokeswoman Loretta Cool didn’t have further information about the arrest, but confirmed it was in connection to a Friday shooting in an alley at South 45th Street and Union Avenue.
The person shot was a man either 19 or 20 years old, Cool said.
He was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center, where the hospital said he was in stable condition as of Sunday.
The News Tribune does not generally name suspects before they have been charged with a crime.
