Witnesses sought to hit-and-run in Tacoma

Tacoma police are looking for witnesses to a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a pedestrian last week.

The accident happened about 12:45 a.m. on June 4 near South I and Eigth streets.

A 17-year-old boy told officers he was walking south on South Eighth Street when a red car hit him and kept going. The boy suffered a broken leg.

Anyone with information on the accident or the red car seen leaving the scene was asked to call officer Loretta Cool at 253-591-5968.
