Tacoma man, 18, rescued after fall in Mount Rainier National Park

Crews rescued an 18-year-old Tacoma man who fell Thursday near Christine Falls in Mount Rainier National Park.

The man suffered injuries when he slipped down a bank below the Christine Falls Bridge, and after park rangers rescued him about 2 p.m., he was flown to a local hospital by Airlift Northwest, park spokeswoman Patti Wold said.

He appeared to have a head injury and a broken arm, Wold said.

Further details were not immediately available.
