Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldier arrested for investigation of child pornography

Detectives arrested a 28-year-old Lacey army specialist on Thursday for investigation of child pornography, the Washington State Patrol said.

Agents from Joint Base Lewis-McChord found images of minors earlier this week during a different investigation of the soldier, and sent them to the State Patrol Missing and Exploited Children Task Force, troopers said.

Detectives searched the soldier’s cellphone Thursday, found sexually explicit images, and arrested him on suspicion of possessing sexually explicit images of minors, according to the State Patrol.

They booked him into Thurston County Jail.
