A man hit three patrol cars Tuesday while fleeing Pierce County sheriff’s deputies during a high-speed chase in Spanaway, the sheriff’s department said.
The pursuit started about 12:40 p.m. in the 9800 block of 224th Street East when several people called 911 to report a vehicle driving recklessly.
“He was just driving recklessly, doing doughnuts in the middle of the intersection,” sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.
The man allegedly rammed the car of the first deputy, who responded before speeding away. By the end of the chase, the driver had struck three patrol cars.
