Man shot dead in Tacoma on Tuesday night, police say. Homicide investigation underway

A man was fatally shot on Tacoma’s Eastside on Tuesday, police said.

South Sound 911 received a call about 10:30 p.m. of a possible shooting in the 3900 block of East Everett Avenue, not far from Swan Creek Park, according to a news release from the Tacoma Police Department.

Police said someone drove the 27-year-old victim to the hospital, where he died of a gunshot wound to the torso.

A homicide investigation is underway. No other details were immediately released.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
