There was a shooting on I-5 in Tacoma last month. WA state patrol is seeking witnesses

The Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to a shooting that happened Oct. 18 on southbound Interstate 5 near Portland Avenue.

According to a Friday press release, troopers said a woman was driving a red Toyota RAV4 in the left lane of southbound I-5 in Tacoma just after midnight when she heard what sounded like a gunshot and something hitting her car.

After driving to a safe location, she found a bullet hole in the rear driver’s side of her car. No one was injured, and at this time investigators have yet to obtain information about the alleged shooter or the vehicle they might have been in, according to troopers.

Anyone who has additional information can contact detective Kevin Pratt at 253-538-3173.
