Woman found dead in Tacoma on Monday. Detectives and crime-scene investigators on scene

Tacoma detectives have begun a death investigation after a woman’s body was found Monday.

Tacoma police officers responded to a 911 call at 8:35 a.m. reporting there was an unresponsive woman in the 3100 block of South Madison Street. When police arrived, they discovered an unresponsive woman, according to a Tacoma Police Department X post.

Tacoma Fire Department crews arrived and pronounced the woman deceased. Tacoma detectives and crime-scene technicians determined later in the day that the woman died by homicide, police said in a news release.
