Pot shop employee hit with gunfire. Pierce County deputies seek clues to shooter’s ID

Pierce County detectives are looking for a man who shot a cannabis store employee last month.

The employee was taking a break outside of Zips Cannabis in the 10000 block of Pacific Avenue South at 10:48 p.m. May 17 when he was shot three times. The shooter drove off in a Cadillac Escalade, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department on Facebook.

The employee had serious injuries that were non life-threatening. The shooter is a white man with dark hair and in his mid-30’s, the Facebook post said.

If anyone has information about the shooter or recognizes the vehicle they can call the sheriff’s department or make an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
