Tacoma police arrest 3 juveniles for assault of store owner, theft of his gun. See it

Tacoma police arrested three people last week in connection with the assault of a store owner and theft of his gun.

On Friday morning, the Tacoma Police Department posted bodycam footage of the arrests to X (Twitter). One officer in the clip describes the suspects as “juveniles.”

Law enforcement responded to 700 S. I St. on July 30 and began chasing the fleeing suspects on foot, according to the post. Video shows officers handcuffing two people on the ground and running after the third, who then surrenders.

Each of the three was booked on suspicion of first-degree robbery and assault, according to police. One of them was also booked for investigation of theft of a firearm.

The News Tribune reached out to the Tacoma Police Department for further details but did not immediately receive a response.
