Two people were shot and one person was grazed by a vehicle on Oct. 9. in downtown Tacoma.

Three people were injured in a shooting in downtown Tacoma early Wednesday morning.

Tacoma police were dispatched at 1:05 a.m. after multiple callers said there was a disturbance in the 900 block of Pacific Avenue. There were no victims in the area when officers arrived, but there was signs that a shooting took place, Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune.

A vehicle was pulled over after an officer saw it traveling at high speed. That person said a friend was shot and in a different vehicle. When that victim was found, Tacoma Fire personnel transported that person to the hospital. They are in stable condition, Boyd said.

A hospital called and reported to police that a second gunshot victim was there, she said. That person also is in stable condition.

A second hospital called to say another person who was at the shooting scene was grazed by a vehicle, Boyd said.

Someone was arrested for a weapons violation, but police are unsure if that person is the alleged shooter.

Two vehicles that were left at the shooting scene had bullet holes in them, Boyd said.
