2 arrested after multiple people stabbed during fight outside Tacoma bar

A 32-year-old woman was arrested in Tacoma for a triple stabbing outside of a bar early Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched around 2 a.m. to the 5400 block of South Tacoma Way after calls came in about the incident. An argument took place in one of the bars, and then those involved went outside where a fight ensued, Tacoma Police Department Sgt. John Correa told The News Tribune.

Correa said the woman pulled out a knife and stabbed a person in the abdomen, sliced one person in the leg and another in the eyebrow area. The victims were two men and a woman.

Patrons who witnessed the stabbing stopped the woman and waited for police to arrive, he said. Fire Department personnel took the victims to a local hospital. They reportedly had non-life threatening injuries.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries. She was then booked into the Pierce County Jail.

A 27-year-old man also was arrested.

Correa said when the woman dropped the knife onto the ground during the fight, he picked it up and stabbed her. He also stabbed one of the bystanders.

The man was not injured, Correa said. He ran off, but officers eventually found him. He was arrested and booked into the Pierce County Jail.

It was the second notable incident involving a knife in Tacoma within a 24-hour period. A man was fatally stabbed Thursday afternoon. A 60-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder for the incident.
