Northeast Tacoma standoff ends with man taken into custody

A three-hour standoff in Northeast Tacoma ended without injury Monday.

Police responded to the 3200 block of 55th Place Northeast about 12:20 p.m. after a suicidal man fired shots inside a house there, spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.

Officers took the man into custody without incident about 3:30 p.m., she said.
