Pair who went fishing in Summit bank deposit box sought

Detectives are trying to find a duo who went fishing for cash in a bank night deposit box last month south of Summit.

The man and woman covered a card in glue and lowered it into the deposit box about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 9 at the Umpqua Bank, 11821 Canyon Road E., according to Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers.

Security video shows the woman trying to pull out the trap multiple times.

She appears to be white, in her 20s, with a slender build and brown hair. She wore a black hoodie with the word “Pink” across the front and white stripes at the elbows.

The man appears to be white, in his 20s, with a medium build, brown shaved hair and possibly a goatee and mustache. He wore a black track jacket with a white stripe from the collar to the cuffs.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips are anonymous and can lead to a reward.
