Dog dies in Edgewood house fire

A dog died in a fire that damaged a house in Edgewood on Sunday.

The blaze broke out about 3:20 p.m. in a shed in the 2900 of 90th Avenue East, East Pierce Fire & Rescue reported.

Flames spread to the nearby house by the time firefighters arrived. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes, East Pierce officials said.

The cause had not been released late Sunday.

No people were injured, but the family living the house was displaced.
