Burglar kicks in back door of Parkland house, steals electronics, gun, ammo
The burglar walked away from a Parkland home with his backpack and didn’t look back.
Pierce County sheriff’s deputies said the man stole several electronics, ammunition and a 9mm semi-automatic handgun from a house near 12th Avenue South and Violet Meadows Street South.
Video surveillance caught him leaving the morning of Oct. 19.
The burglar removed several window screens to try to get inside the home but eventually kicked in the back door.
He is described as black, in his 30s or 40s, with a shaved head. He was wearing black gloves, black shoes, blue jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt during the burglary.
Anyone with information on the burglar’s identity is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a reward if the suspect is arrested and charged.
