Two men who allegedly tried to break into a South Prairie home but were frightened away by the homeowner’s armed son were arrested Thursday.
The incident took place about 9:50 a.m. Monday on A P Tubbs Road East.
The burglars broke a window and removed the screen to get into the house, but they apparently did not realize the homeowner’s son was in the house, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
They fled in a small extended-cab truck after the son showed them he had a rifle and began shouting. The same home was burglarized March 10 after someone forced open a door and stole guns and a laptop.
