A University Place man was found guilty Thursday of fatally shooting his roommate in 2014 after an argument about clothing.
Pierce County Superior Court Judge Jack Nevin convicted 30-year-old Cory Randon Lewis of second-degree murder and unlawful gun possession.
Lewis had a bench trial, which meant it was up to the judge instead of a jury to decide whether Lewis was guilty.
Cory Page, 32, died when Lewis shot him Dec. 7, 2014, after the argument the two had about clothing. Several days later Lewis called 911, and said he had come home to find Page dead.

When he went the next month to ask police to return a computer they had seized, they had him take a polygraph test, which he failed, prompting detectives to investigate Lewis further.
During the trial, Lewis’s attorney argued the shooting was in self-defense.
Sentencing is scheduled for later this year.
