Boundary change meetings set on Peninsula

The Peninsula School District is having parent and community meetings in January to share proposed new elementary school boundaries. Large maps will be available to show where the boundary changes would be, and information on transition plans will be presented. Meetings are scheduled:

• Jan. 12 at 10:30 a.m. and Jan. 13 at 6 p.m., at Discovery Elementary Library, 4905 Rosedale St. NW.

• Jan. 14 at 6 p.m., Purdy Elementary, 13815 62nd Ave. NW.

• Jan.15 at 6 p.m., Harbor Heights Elementary Commons, 4002 35th St. NW.

The district is also coordinating a group of stakeholders at the middle- and high-school levels to review and address concerns brought up in conjunction with the proposed elementary boundary changes. Anyone interested in participating in the group should contact Karen Andersen, 253-530-1004 or by email at andersenk@psd401.net.
