What you need for the holidays - a homemade arrowhead

Need a new skill to take into the holidays and a new year? We’ve got one you can learn for free this weekend - making arrowheads.

Harry Oda, a flintknapper since the ‘70s, will share his craft with anyone interested at the Gig Harbor Library from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.

Adults and kids from middle school and higher are welcomed, although youngsters must be accompanied by an adult. Oda asks that participants bring work gloves, eye protection and lunch.

Everything else will be provided.

Registration is required and can be done online at piercecountylibrary.org/calendar

Where’s the library? 4424 Point Fosdick Drive N.W.

Show up, have fun and take home an arrowhead.
