Original post: A crash on Interstate 5 southbound in Tacoma is blocking an off-ramp.
The crash happened near the Interstate 705 and state Route 7 Extension Interchange, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation on X at 12:10 p.m.
The off-ramp to state Route 7 is blocked.
A car reportedly struck a barrier, Washington State Patrol Trooper Kameron Watts told The News Tribune.
A 38-year-old driver was taken by their family to the hospital for precautionary reasons. Their vehicle was towed, Watts said.
