Ramp closures scheduled this week on Tacoma freeways
Another week, another set of ramp closures along Interstate 5 through Tacoma as crews continue widening the freeway in anticipation of future carpool lanes.
Here’s the gist, according to the state Department of Transportation:
Monday (March 28)
▪ The exit from the northbound I-5 collector-distributor lanes to northbound Interstate 705 was to close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
▪ The exit from southbound I-5 to southbound state Route 7 was to close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
▪ The exit from northbound state Route 7 to northbound Interstate 705 was to close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Tuesday
▪ The exit from the northbound I-5 collector-distributor lanes to northbound I-705 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
▪ The exit from southbound I-5 to southbound state Route 7 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
▪ The exit from northbound state Route 7 to northbound I-705 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Wednesday
▪ The exit from the northbound I-5 collector-distributor lanes to northbound I-705 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Thursday.
▪ On-ramps from southbound I-705 to northbound I-5 and southbound state Route 7 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Thursday.
Thursday
▪ On-ramps from southbound I-705 to northbound I-5 and southbound state Route 7 will close at 10 p.m. and reopen at 6 a.m. Friday.
