2-year-old wanders from home and is found a mile away on edge of bluff, Alaska cops say

A toddler wandered a mile away from his Alaska home and was found on the edge of a bluff, rescuers said.

The 2-year-old boy was first reported missing May 10 in Fairbanks, according to Alaska State Troopers.

About 50 rescuers rushed to find the missing child, troopers said.

Rescuers used a thermal imaging camera from a helicopter to spot the boy within 15 minutes, troopers said.

A video shows a rescuer going through thick brush to find the child on the side of a bluff.

“If it wasn’t for the thermal imaging camera on the Helo, it would have significantly postponed the rescue,” troopers said.
