The park’s intertidal area, accessible to visitors at low tide, offers an opportunity to see young harbor seals, who sometimes haul out near the Point. Aggregating anemones cover boulders, which make an appearance every time the tide goes out. The marble-sized siphons of piddock clams can be spotted in the face of a horizontal slab of rock. Divers find Pacific giant octopus in the waters of the Tacoma Narrows.
