Rain has delayed the opening of temporary offramps and onramps on the west end of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, according to the manager of the bridge project.
The only work left to do is to paint the traffic stripes on the new asphalt, said Manuel Rondon, project manager at Tacoma Narrows Constructors. Almost constant rain over the past few several days has made the painting impractical, he said.
Rondon predicted the ramps will be open to traffic this week.
