Caissons: Concrete pours on the east and west caissons are moving into high gear.
The second pour on the east caisson took place Friday. First pour on the west caisson will happen Tuesday. Cruising speed will be one pour per week per caisson.
Narrowsgate: Site preparation continues for the 10,000-square-foot modular office building, staging area and parking lot. Still no completion date announced.
Anchorages: Excavation for the Tacoma-side anchorage at the former War Memorial Park was at 20 feet on Friday. Digging will continue all week. The first concrete pour on that anchorage is scheduled for early October.
Q: Work seems to have stalled on the Jackson Street on-ramp to the bridge. What's happening?
A: That will pick up this week. Crews will excavate and start hauling dirt across the highway, where they're filling for the new Jackson off-ramp.
