Builders of the new Tacoma Narrows bridge will hold an open house Tuesday in Gig Harbor to talk about highlights of the past two years of construction and preview what's up next with the $849 million suspension bridge project.
The open house will be at the Gig Harbor Community Center Council Chambers, 3510 Grandview St.
Engineers and managers from Tacoma Narrows Constructors and the state Department of Transportation will be available for informal conversation from 6 to 7 p.m. The formal program will run from 7 to 8:30 p.m. when bridge experts team up with managers of the Highway 16 widening project to give an overall view of changes in the corridor.
