Look for nighttime lane closures this week on the Gig Harbor side of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge.
Crews will paint the retaining wall that eventually will separate eastbound from westbound traffic on Highway 16 when the new bridge under construction there is completed.
Currently, the wall forms the right edge of eastbound lanes. Crews will paint the side of the wall facing traffic, and to do it, they’ll shut down the right eastbound lane from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. today and Wednesday.
The color? “Washington Gray.”
