It seems that certain Tacoma City Council members are more concerned about what is best for City Manager Ray Corpuz and themselves than the citizens of Tacoma.
It makes me wonder why there should be a severance package for a person who has not served Tacoma well and has spent taxpayers' money on items such as a new building that was not needed and wasted money on a trip to Australia. I have no confidence in the council these days, and the members' actions show how poorly they are doing their jobs.
Get rid of Corpuz now, as council members Mike Lonergan and Bill Evans have suggested, and concentrate on getting the city back to where the citizens have faith in the government. Or does the council really care?
