Workers tackle railroad tracks for Columbia Park Trail bridge replacement in Richland

A crew from West Rail Construction in Vancouver works early Wednesday morning prefabricating one of three 60-foot railroad track sections at the work site near the roundabout at Steptoe Street.

The advance work is part of $2.2 million Port of Benton project to replace the wooden railroad bridge that crosses over Columbia Park Trail.

The road will be closed the morning of June 12 and at least through June 14. Detours will have drivers take a loop involving Steptoe Street, Gage Boulevard and Leslie Road.
