Kennewick pool helps attempt record for world’s largest swimming lesson

Kenneth E. Serier Memorial Pool lifeguard Hailey Smithson, of Richland, keeps a hold of Morgan Gibson, 4, of Kennewick, while she floats on her stomach Thursday during the facility’s attempt at the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest swimming lesson. The previous record of 30,652 participants was set last year. The event also helps spread the word that swimming lessons save lives. Watch a video at www.tricityherald.com.
