Election: Working people, not media elites, had their say on election night
In the aftermath of the election, the media elites are once again proclaiming the election of Donald Trump is the end of the world. The media is telling us once again what is going to happen: the rich will get tax cuts, the poor will get cut off from health care; there will be mass deportation, and on and on. Media elites proclaim racism and sexism.
This is the same media who said Hilliary Clinton had a 99% chance of being elected. How can anyone believe the media elites after they totally missed reality?
Working people want affordable health for their families, jobs with decent wages and not more trade deals that ship jobs overseas. They want politicians who will work for them and not the lobbyist who gives them the most money.
Working people also want a press that reports the news instead of picking sides, one that creates safety for our families from terrorism, and holds police accountable.
Working people want social safety nets for the less fortunate, well-funded schools that are held accountable, term limits for politicians (who all go in with average incomes and come out multi-millionaires.)
We do not want, nor do we represent, the extreme views of the Right or Left. We are just ordinary, hard-working, taxpaying citizens who have been forgotten by politicians.
