Immigration: Nothing gutsy about sheltering felons

Re: “Should Tacoma join the nation’s sanctuary cities?” (TNT, Matt Driscoll column, 12/20).

I wonder how much “guts” and “fortitude” the columnist would have if an illegal felon ran a stop sign,T-boned his vehicle and killed a family member.

Just because the milquetoast mayor of Seattle has declared sanctuary status is not a reason for Tacoma to do the same. A city government or a newspaper column promoting lawlessness is reprehensible.
