Young: Polite legislator is being smeared

Re: “No excuse for browbeating by Rep. Young,” (TNT, 4/28).

I have known Rep. Jesse Young for several years. I have worked with him on community projects here in Gig Harbor, I have also worked as a volunteer at his office in Olympia.

Young is a very caring member of our Legislature. He spends hours in committee meetings working on legislation to help his constituents. I have never seen him lose his temper; he is always polite and concerned about the welfare of the people he is working with.

It is sad that there seems to be a smear campaign designed to do political damage to this dedicated, hard working legislator.
