Russia: Is its election meddling so shocking?

I read the transcript of the Senate committee’s interview with former FBI chief James Comey, and one item stuck out to me: Everyone seems to want to fix blame for the fiasco.

No one wants to admit we are all in it together. Until it is admitted, no one will step forward for a cure.

The Russians (or whoever) were just using the internet to influence thought. Which is what happens during every election! Politicians buy millions of dollars of advertising to influence voters, yet are getting upset that a foreign power tries the same thing.

Until a cure is found for the campaign spending problem, the same thing will continue to happen.
