Re: “End gay conversion therapy in Washington,” (TNT editorial, 1/28).
Passing a law to end gay conversion therapy is a direct violation of the U.S. Constitution, which clearly says in Amendment 1: “Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.”
This is a huge government intrusion in our personal lives to try to limit what parents and counselors can say. The government has no business telling parents and counselors how to talk to their children or clients.
The idea behind Senate Bill 5722 speaks of “Big Brother” trying to control the most intimate aspects of our lives.
