Election: Rep. Young intolerant to dissent

As the 2018 primary election quickly approaches, it’s time for voters in the 26th Legislative District to demand better representation than what Rep. Jesse Young provides.

Young has been reprimanded three times by the Legislative Ethics Board, was barred from supervising legislative staff and still refuses to accept responsibility for his actions.

I was recently blocked by Young on social media, effectively silencing me and my right to publicly question my representative. I gave him the opportunity to explain but his reply was vague, unsubstantiated and referenced an unspecified legislative ruling.

When I pressed for a specific citation he was either unwilling or unable to provide one. He simply never responded.

If he can’t handle dissent on Facebook, how can he handle it in the Legislature?

Young often purports to be a man of honor, but it isn’t honorable to silence your constituents. The people of the 26th district deserve better in Olympia.
