Veteran groups: Draft dodger Trump shameful

I see the country's most infamous draft dodger from the Vietnam era was recently welcomed to the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention.

Donald Trump and I received our draft notifications the same month in 1966. I joined the Air Force and Trump ran to his doctor for a 4F deferment.

During the Vietnam War my working-class parents had four sons who served in the military.

My brother Steve never recovered from the physical damage done to him in Vietnam and my brother Tim died in an accident on the USS Hancock. He was 19.

Trump bragged how he dodged the draft. So this is who the VFW and veterans organizations want to cheer at their conventions?

They certainly need to look no further to understand why their organizations are dying off!

This veteran finds their invitation to Trump revolting and insulting to every veteran.
