Labor unions: Free riders are unwelcome coworkers
Re: “Era ends for public-sector union fees,” (TNT editorial, 12/4).
Don’t want to pay union dues? Find another job, simple as that. Aside from that option, if you do not want to pay the dues, you should not get the benefits the unions have fought for over the years.
You should rightfully get less pay, have no benefits like paid vacation and health, dental and vision care.
There are no free rides. The cost of union participation is a bargain relative to the benefits they bring.
