Property tax relief: Needed now more than ever

As Washington citizens are very hard hit by coronavirus, our Legislature and governor need to step up directly to help us.

With our first half of high property taxes coming due at end of April, they should immediately cancel those obligations. This would give immediate cash relief to all home and property owners who have to save all year to pay.

It would provide relief and a cash injection to so many who truly need it, and would benefit the statewide economy by allowing all to to have more available income to spend locally and make ends meet.

Everyone is hurting; employees, small businesses and fixed-income seniors are all hurting. Let the wasteful, non-essential spending stop.
