Pro sports: Money grubbing won’t stop for pandemic
Have you heard? The NFL is gearing up to play America’s favorite pastime.
What’s the safest way to accomplish that money-grubbing goal? Safety check list: No fans will be present, as they can hoot and holler from their homes.
The players already wear safety gear. In addition to their usual brain-saving helmets, can we assume they now will be masking up?
Wait a bloody minute. How is the real game going to play out? Safe social distancing for players is impossible! Maybe professional athletes are so rough and tough that their best defense is some kind of special immunity.
Diehard fans believe that football is untouchable, and a canceled season would never be considered, even during a pandemic.
Meantime, professional sports leagues want to keep the public preoccupied, because money talks.
