Legislature: Caldier, Young are weak team on Peninsula

Washington Reps. Michelle Caldier and Jesse Young are in the same party. That should work to our advantage here in the 26th Legislative District.

However, we have a double whammy. Our reps are in the minority party, plus they refuse to work together.

It’s been common practice for legislative seatmates to hold joint town hall events, saving on expenses and making it convenient for constituents. In the six years Caldier and Young have served together in Olympia they never have done that.

Is this a symptom of a much deeper problem? It leaves voters searching for legislators who are willing to work together to improve our district.

Joy Stanford and Carrie Hesch will work as a team. It is time for a change in Olympia.
