WSH: Hiring practices may need updating
I am a health care professional who recently discharged from the U.S. Army at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and I can tell you firsthand that one of the biggest issues I see with Western State Hospital is its hiring practices.
I have applied to several jobs and positions that are even below my professional grade, and I have to do all the legwork to follow up.
It seems that they are extremely short-staffed in the Human Resources department or seemingly not interested in a highly educated health care professional who wants to make a difference at a state hospital.
