Primary: You'll have to pick a party
Our Pierce County auditor announced at the March 16 meeting of the South Tacoma Neighborhood Council that she will be mailing out a presidential preference ballot on May 8 for the May 24 primary.
There is no requirement to participate, however if you do, you must sign the election agreement and check a party preference (Republican or Democrat). The information will be sent to the parties and then eliminated within 60 days following validation of results.
No personnel information is to be given, just affiliation and results.
This election is required by our legislators at a cost of $11.5 million to state taxpayers.
