Security: Court system more likely to blame
I read state Rep. Christopher Hurst's piece about the long security lines to get into a Tacoma Rainiers game (TNT, 4-11). I would presume that Hurst's assumption that Cheney Stadium would be a poor place to attack is probably true. But I would bet that the added security is not because of Islamic State terrorists but because of the city's risk manager.
I'm sure the city, which owns the stadium, has seen the lawsuits against San Bernardino, Newtown and others that got hit and know that it would be a big target for any aggrieved party should anything happen and they didn't take every possible precaution.
So don't blame ISIS or the Rainiers. Blame your court system, which will entertain any aggrieved person looking for a payday and play ball!
