Security: I’m happy weapons kept out of stadium

Re: “Rainiers’ ultra-security says the terrorists won” (TNT, 4-11).

Has the writer who complained about the long lines because of security ever attended a sporting event in Seattle? I think not, or at least a season-opening event. There is plenty of security there.

My experience at the same game was nothing like his. We saw some long lines, especially at the left-field entrance. We parked in the main lot and saw one long line, so we went to the third-base entrance and entered in about two minutes.

I do believe that since this was something new at the stadium there are bugs to be worked out. As far as an attack at a baseball game not likely to happen, I wonder if the people of Paris who were in the soccer stadium were happy that security had stopped the bombers from entering? They then detonated outside the event.

I am more than happy to know that weapons will be kept out of the stadium. I’m more afraid of someone with a gun than I am of a terrorist with a bomb.
